Summary
Ensures the protection of tribal assets and a high level of game protection.
Principal Activities & Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality over all Casino, Surveillance Department, Tribal Gaming Commission, and Tribal matters.
- Operate in accordance with departmental policies, regulations, and standards.
- Train in surveillance and casino topics, including camera use, cheating detection, game protection, basic strategy, and staff development.
- Utilize surveillance equipment to identify, record, and report violations or suspicious activities, especially on the gaming floor.
- Observe, record, and report daily casino activities.
- Complete routine reports, logs, video reviews, and related functions accurately.
- Conduct regular floor patrols to identify suspicious activities.
- Assist with investigations as directed by supervisors.
- Attend mandatory and optional training and meetings.
- Maintain open communication with the Surveillance Department and other entities.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of casino operations, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Adhere to appearance standards per CTCLUSI policies.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Maintain good attendance.

Physical & Mental Demands
- Ability to walk, talk, hear, handle objects, and reach with hands and arms.
- Close vision and focus adjustment required.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 40 pounds.
Working Conditions & Environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, in a 24/7 casino environment.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and use of hands for equipment handling.
- Visual requirements include various focus and perception abilities.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Preferred experience in C.C.T.V., casino operations, investigations, military, or law enforcement.
- Must pass a six-month probation and surveillance assessments.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Reasonable English communication skills.
- Pre-employment drug testing and criminal background check required.
- Obtain a gaming license from the Gaming Commission.
- U.S. employment eligibility required.
- Indian preference applies.
