• Hillcrest Hospital Pryor is a 48-bed acute care hospital that provides a range of health care services to the community, including emergency services, urology, ENT, gastroenterology, cardiology, orthopedics, general surgery and wound care.

Learn About a Day In the Life of a Surgical Tech:

• Responsible for performing as a primary scrub handling instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique.
• Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
• Prepare the surgical suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor and track instrument counts throughout the procedure.
• Decontaminate, sterilize, assemble and wrap instruments following proper standards.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technology Program
• High School diploma or GED
• Active BLS certification

Preferred Job Requirements

• One year of Surgical Technology experience
• Certified through the NBSTSA or NCCT
