Surgical Technician -Operating Department; 36 hours/week!-$15K Sign On Bonus Job Ref: 32585 Category: Surgical Technician Location: Emerson Hospital, 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, Concord, MA 01742 Department: Operating Room Schedule: Full Time Shift: Eve/Night shift Hours: 1900-0730 Job SummaryReporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, Operating Room, with line responsibility to the OR Charge Nurse and functioning under the supervision of a registered nurse, the Surgical Technologist, functions as a member of the perioperative nursing team to perform direct and indirect perioperative nursing tasks for patients and assists the anesthesia team. The primary focus of this position is the scrub person and the assist circulator roles. In collaboration with a registered nurse, the Surgical Technologist serves as a technical subject matter expert for at least one surgical service and a preceptor for new scrub personnel.Minimum Qualifications* Educationo High School diploma or equivalent required.o Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program required.* Experienceo Minimum two years surgical technologist experience preferred.* Licensure and/or Certificationo Certificate of completion from Accredited Surgical Technology Program required.o BLS healthcare provider required.* Skillso Excellent communication skills.o Flexible and adaptable to change.o Ability to establish excellent interpersonal relationships.o Excellent customer service skills.o Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.o Computer skills required.o Ability to maintain confidential information.
