Surgical Scheduler - White Plains Hospital : Job Details

The WPPA Surgical Scheduler is responsible for scheduling/coordinating all procedures and surgeries in the assigned Physician Practice and acts as the liaison between the patient, provider, clinical team, and WPH perioperative departments. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following: Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors Fulfills responsibilities as assigned which may including scheduling all testing/procedures/surgeries; obtaining pre-certification for testing/procedures/surgeries; verifying insurance coverage and patient demographics; scanning; managing and updating charts to ensure information is accurate and complete; answers telephones, relays messages, and provides information. Works collaboratively and maintains effective communication with patients to review all required pre- and postoperative/procedure requirements, following up as necessary.
