The Medical Director will oversee an established transplant program that offers liver, kidney, pancreas, and living donor transplants, as well as hepatobiliary surgery.
Qualifications:
- More than 10 years post-fellowship experience in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery.
- Board-certified in General Surgery.
- Fellowship trained in an ASTS-accredited abdominal transplant fellowship.
- Must meet OPTN/UNOS certification for primary liver transplant surgeons.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure excellent patient outcomes and program growth.
- Maintain compliance with UNOS and OPTN regulations.
- Build relationships with internal teams and community partners.
- Supervise advanced practice providers.
- Train medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Participate in clinical and translational research.
