Surgical Appointment Veterinary Nurse - Ethos Veterinary Health, LLC : Job Details

Run daily appointments with the surgeon - Obtain an accurate history for the doctor, obtain vitals (temperature, auscultating heart rate, palpating pulses, auscultating lung sounds and respiratory rate, assessing mucous membranes and capillary refill time) - Perform diagnostic testing (lab work, radiographs, ultrasound) - Perform sedation and monitor during short procedures such as bandage/cast changes, radiographs - Assist in patient procedures: holding for ultrasounds, aspirates - Fill medications for clients to give at home - Administrate medications in all routes (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous) - Handle client communications and properly document in the patient's medical record - Admit patients for hospitalization/surgical procedures.
