Position Overview
Lead employees to ensure customer satisfaction by moving all shipments on time and damage-free.
Essential Functions
Lead, manage, educate, and develop company employees focusing on retention and growth.Supervise and direct employee work, including pre-shifts, with a focus on quality, customer deliverables, and safety performance, identifying and overseeing improvements.Actively monitor, record, and educate employees regarding unsafe acts/conditions, correcting immediately using corrective actions as needed. Provide feedback and follow-up with all impacted employees.Plan daily manpower needs and set schedules to ensure timely and damage-free delivery and pickup of freight.Communicate job assignments clearly and concisely, coordinating with all employees.Monitor service freight and ensure compliance with cut times.Analyze and address opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies while maintaining safety standards.Assist customers with rate quotes, claim information, and setting appointments.Monitor performance data and gather information for reporting.Build relationships and maintain positive communication with all business partners to meet service standards.Identify freight with incorrect weight and classification.Ensure all OS&D (Overages, Shortages, and Damages) are identified and processed properly.Perform Administrative Functions As Required

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of LTL Industry, DOT Rules, OSHA Laws, Hazardous Materials Regulations, NMFC, Tariff Rules, and company policies (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational skills and multi-tasking ability.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet.
Working Conditions
- Dock environment with exposure to weather, fumes, dust, and noise.
- Variable hours based on operational needs.
- Frequent contact with service center personnel in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented setting.
