Our client is seeking a skilled Support Engineer with experience in technical or application support to join their team. This individual will be responsible for resolving technical issues across applications and end-user devices in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. This is a hybrid role based in New York City, NY. Starting at $100,000/year. Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for end-user applications, PCs, and mobile devices (iPhone and Android).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows 10, Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint), Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Use SQL and log analysis to identify root causes of application and infrastructure issues.
- Leverage scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and/or C# to automate tasks and streamline support processes.
- Work closely with internal teams to support business-critical applications, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve application bugs and provide detailed feedback.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, procedures, and resolutions.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in technical or application support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365 tools, and networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with SQL for troubleshooting and basic data manipulation.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language: C#, PowerShell, or Python.
- Experience supporting users and applications in a financial services or investment data environment is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
