LOCATION: 3811 E. Kearney St | Springfield, MO 65803

HOURS: Monday – Friday | 7:00am – 3:30pm (5:00pm when overtime occurs)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Parts Support Associate plays a vital, hands-on role in the success of our parts department by supporting inventory management, warehouse organization, shipping/receiving, and customer service to all internal customers. This is a highly collaborative, fast-paced role ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in supporting the technicians who rely on accurate and timely parts handling.

You'll assist in every stage of the parts lifecycle — from receiving shipments and stocking inventory, to preparing orders, delivering parts, and maintaining precise records — all while ensuring a clean, organized, and safety-conscious work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clerical & Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing parts
  • Assist with parts orders, restocking, and data entry
  • Support the department with general clerical tasks as needed

Warehouse & Inventory Operations

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts
  • Organize and label stock in designated areas
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits
  • Record discrepancies and help maintain the inventory management system

Parts Movement & Internal Logistics

  • Transport parts between departments and technicians
  • Pull parts for work orders and ensure correct labeling
  • Pick up parts from vendors and suppliers when needed

Customer Service & Counter Support

  • Assist technicians with part lookups and inquiries
  • Process part sales, returns, and exchanges
  • Maintain parts counter stock and product knowledge

Shipping & Receiving

  • Package and ship outgoing parts or returns
  • Confirm delivery paperwork and obtain signatures
  • Maintain accurate shipping/receiving documentation

Stockroom & Supply Management

  • Issue parts and supplies to departments and technicians
  • Replenish commonly used stockroom items
  • Track usage and assist in maintaining organization

Safety & Shop Operations

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times
  • Follow OSHA standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work on your feet and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills (email, data entry, inventory systems)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Professional, courteous, and dependable team player
  • Previous experience in a parts or inventory role

Preferred but Not Required

  • Forklift certification or willingness to train
  • Familiarity with diesel engine or automotive parts
