SummaryORGANIZATION LOCATION: Phoenix Area Indian Health Service, Colorado River Service Unit, Property and Supply Department. Position is located in Parker, Arizona, and supervised through the Support Service Supervisor. The incumbent is responsible for all general service functions and serves as staff consultant on all general service functions such as procurement, inventory control, storage, issuance, accountability, utilization, transportation, and various services within the service unit.DutiesHelp
  • Serves as the ServiceUnit Accountable Officer for all personal non-expendable property
  • Responsible for property management such as, conduct annual and special inventories, inspects all non-expendable property in the warehouse, screening all requisitions for non-expendable property, maintains accounts for physical inventories and certifying reports, and manage order picking operations, ensuring correct selection and delivery of inventory items to requesting departments.
  • Responsible for supply management such as, review of purchase requests, making blanket purchase arrangements for purchase of miscellaneous supplies and perishable food items, determining method of purchases, source of supply, and quantity in accordance with policy and regulations and within procurement limitations.
  • Operates vehicles to transport equipment and supplies to and from designated locations.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):Minimum Qualifications for GS-04:
  • One (1) Year of General Experience; OR
  • Two (2) Years of Education above the High School Level. General Experience is defined as progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
Minimum Qualifications for GS-05:
  • Four (4) Years of Education above the High School Level; OR
  • One (1) Year of Specialized Experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 Grade Level. Specialized Experience is defined as experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Examples include: Determining stock replenishment by maintaining inventory control, storage, distribution, cataloging. Operating automated supply data systems to process supply transactions. Operating vehicles to transport or deliver supplies;
Minimum Qualifications for GS-06:
  • One (1) Year of Specialized Experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 Grade Level. Examples include: Coordinated and Consulted with commercial representatives on supply transactions with transportation, procurement, productions, storage and other supply units. Determining stock replenishment by maintaining inventory control, storage, distribution, cataloging. Operating automated supply data system to process supply transactions. Operating vehicles to transport or deliver supplies.
Time In GradeFederal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level.
