Job DescriptionSupply TechnicianCAC eligibility will be required.Position is located at Camp Kinser, Okinawa JapanA Supply Technician will provide services in support of receipting, shipping, inventory control, storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems. Manages materials and resource tracking. Experience in military logistics or inventory management is preferred.Compensation & Benefits:
- Estimated Starting Salary Range for Supply Technician: $21.63 - $24.03
- Pay commensurate with experience.

Supply Technician Responsibilities Include:
- Conducts physical inventories and adjust and/or maintain inventory, stock, plant, or property account records in the GOCO IT systems.
- Receives and screens lists or other documents specifying supplies or materials needed for planned programs or work operations and collate and assemble lists of equipment and parts needed for acquisition plans.
- Initiates, prepares, edits, and processes requisitions to stock, commodity control, or other appropriate supply organizations.
- Searches catalogs, records, or other data sources to obtain or correct stock numbers or to find authorized substitutes for stock items.
- Contacts customers, supply organizations, transportation units, and others to obtain material status information, follow up on urgently required items, and/or expedite delivery of material to work sites.
- Processes documentation for stock item receipts, maintain such items in a supply room or similar storage area, issue material to shop or work center personnel, keep local stock records, reorder when stocks are low or at a specified reorder point, prepare standard reports such as variances between actual and estimated costs, and perform related stock receipt, storage, control, and issue functions for expendable and non-expendable items for a local organization.
- Identifies requirements and requisition, issue, or distribute office and administrative supplies, forms, publications, or other printed materials.
- Maintains an accurate accounting and reporting system for non-expendable property and perform standardized property management control processes.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as required.
- Properly stored in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, safety standards, and organizational policies. The contractor shall ensure equipment is stored securely to prevent damage, deterioration, and loss.
- Performed all work in a safe and efficient manner, and that safety procedures are always followed.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
Supply Technician Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment.
- Ability to conduct extensive searches for required information.
- Knowledge of reconstructing records for complex supply transactions.
- Ability to supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts.
- Ability to perform routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.
- Ability to work inside and outside in all environmental conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
