Supply Analyst
We are looking for a skilled Supply Analyst to join our remote team. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing the flow of materials to ensure production efficiency and alignment with organizational goals. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently while applying expertise to solve challenges and optimize supply planning processes.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee the inbound movement of materials from suppliers to meet production needs and schedules.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, and engineering teams to coordinate the efficient flow of materials.
- Evaluate material requirements and establish specifications for new contract orders.
- Develop and implement supply planning procedures to align with organizational objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues to maintain a smooth supply chain.
- Utilize forecasting techniques to anticipate material needs and minimize disruptions.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress and insights to stakeholders.
- Apply sound judgment to resolve supply planning challenges and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of materials handling and planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all supply planning activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook for reporting and Power BI for data visualization.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Familiarity with supply chain procedures and materials handling processes.
- Ability to analyze and forecast material requirements to support production goals.
- Experience in preparing detailed reports and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound decisions based on expertise and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of budgeting, production planning, and engineering concepts is preferred.
