Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Manager with proven experience in a manufacturing plant environment. This role will focus on overseeing materials management, production planning, supplier coordination, and logistics to ensure uninterrupted plant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing raw materials, inventory control, and vendor performance while driving efficiency and cost savings across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the flow of materials to support plant production, ensuring availability while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Oversee procurement of raw materials, components, and packaging for manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to align material availability with production schedules.
  • Monitor supplier performance and lead negotiations on cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems (KANBAN, MRP, ERP).
  • Drive plant-level supply chain improvements to reduce lead times, improve on-time delivery, and optimize working capital.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards within supply chain operations.
  • Develop, coach, and lead a team of material planners, buyers, and logistics staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain or materials management within a manufacturing plant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and plant-level inventory control.
  • Proven experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma preferred.
