Join us as we explore the incredible benefits of living in this remarkable city and uncover the hidden gems that await your discovery.Job Summary:The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for all supply planning activities including Master Production Schedule, Rough Cut Capacity Planning, Logistics, Inventory and MRP at the Certis fermentation plant in Wasco, CA. This role will also ensure implementation and optimization of effective supply planning processes which utilize the company's ERP system (NetSuite) while ensuring effective communication methods are in place to update and partner with key stakeholders including sales and corporate functions. The role will play a critical part in the monthly S&OP process, which requires collaboration and analysis of relevant supply planning information and recommendations for effective decision making.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinates supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
  • Lead supply chain team members to achieve operational objectives and targets. Motivate and guide individuals towards achieving common goals while fostering a positive work environment. Coach and mentor as each individual contributor requires. Execute best practices and measure performance through (KPI's) and employee engagement.
  • Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of demand.
  • Monitors inventory levels to ensure rotation and maximize working capital needs.
  • Strategize to determine the most cost-effective distribution solutions for finished goods transportation to customers working with corporate personnel.
  • Recommend and assist in system enhancement to optimize critical areas of supply chain.
  • Oversee, develop and manage rolling master production schedules for production ensuring comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing. Incorporate in forecasts, backlogs, open orders, capacity constraints
  • Liaise with all relevant stakeholders and functions to ensure supply plan represents consensus view of future supply plans and actions.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to decrease overall costs and improve inventory management and supply chain efficiency. (ABC analysis, warehouse organization, cycle count program etc.)
  • Identify warehouse and logistics challenges & opportunities, leading projects to eliminate non-value-added waste and drive improved performance.
  • Evaluate and develop safety practices and procedures for risk assessment around shipping and receiving, overall material logistics in the plant.
  • Manage SOPs for all supply planning activities (ISO)
  • Support business-wide initiatives, communications, and improvement projects as a core member of the supply chain organization

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations/Production Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • 5 or more years' progressive experience in supply planning and procurement, preferably in a global manufacturing or biotech organization
  • 5+ years' supervisory or project leadership experience, with a demonstrated track record to lead, manage, and motivate team members through direct line management or influence
  • Fundamental understanding of supply chain, planning, and procurement processes within a manufacturing organization
  • Demonstrated success using and maintaining ERP/MRP systems and Master Data
  • Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP Designation
  • NetSuite proficiency
