🏭 Lead supply chain consolidation across multiple manufacturing sites

What You'll Be Doing:

🔄 Consolidate purchasing operations - take over purchasing from all sites and centralize to one location

👥 Lead a team - manage one person in NH and MS who will report directly to you

📊 Implement S&OP process - migrate company to Sales & Operations Planning methodology

🏗️ Manage operations indirectly - oversee receiving, yard operations, and slitting functions

💰 Drive commodity purchasing - buy large volumes of cold rolled galvanized steel and other related products

🏭 Partner with steel mills - build and maintain relationships with key suppliers

📈 Monitor performance - regularly review purchasing metrics and inventory levels

🎯 Optimize inventory - balance cost efficiency with operational needs

🤝 Cross-functional collaboration - work with operations, finance, and sales teams

What You Bring:

✅ Steel/metals industry experience - deep understanding of the market and processes

✅ Commodity purchasing background - proven track record buying commodity products

✅ Steel mill relationships - experience working directly with steel mills desired

✅ S&OP experience - ability to implement Sales & Operations Planning processes

✅ Leadership skills - can manage remote teams across multiple locations

✅ Metrics-driven - regularly review and act on purchasing and inventory data

✅ Process improvement mindset - can consolidate and optimize operations

✅ Strong negotiation skills - comfortable with large-volume commodity deals
