Position Summary:The Supply Chain Manager will lead and optimize the entire supply chain function at our aerospace extrusions manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, and inventory control, specifically within aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environments. The manager will ensure timely availability of raw materials and components, cost efficiency, and compliance with aerospace industry standards to support uninterrupted production and customer satisfaction.

ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:The Supply Chain Manager will lead and optimize the entire supply chain function at our aerospace extrusions manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, and inventory control, specifically within aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environments. The manager will ensure timely availability of raw materials and components, cost efficiency, and compliance with aerospace industry standards to support uninterrupted production and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company goals and aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100).
  • Manage end-to-end supply chain operations including sourcing, procurement, inventory management, supplier relationships, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and sales teams to forecast demand and plan materials accordingly.
  • Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations to align forecasts with business goals.
  • Identify and qualify aerospace-grade suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure supplier compliance with quality and delivery requirements.
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance production and implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and obsolescence.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes, reduce lead times, and improve cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain documentation for audits and quality certifications.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as supplier on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and cost variances.
  • Manage supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
  • Oversee logistics activities to ensure timely delivery to internal manufacturing and external customers.
  • Lead and develop the logistics and supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, preferably in aerospace manufacturing or a highly regulated industry.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10 years' Experience in supply chain management
  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain or Business-related field
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, ITAR compliance) is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing supplier relationships and complex procurement processes.
  • Proficient in ERP and supply chain management software. Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, compliance, and process improvement.
  • Thorough understanding of ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems and Nadcap special processes.
  • Certificates with APICS are highly desirable.
  • Excellent PC skills (proficient in Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills (written, verbal and non- verbal), ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Must work well in a team environment and commit to continuous improvement.
