Director of Supply Chain – Wellness Startup (PE-Backed) | NYC
You're not here to manage what already exists.
You're here to build what doesn't.
Welcome to the wild, wellness-fueled world of our growing client, a PE-backed startup on a mission to reinvent how people live, feel, and thrive. Based in the heart of NYC, we're scaling fast and need a Director of Supply Chain who's as comfortable in the weeds as they are in the boardroom.
We're not looking for someone to maintain the status quo. We're looking for a builder. A hustler. A strategist. A get-things-done-er. Someone who can take a blank canvas and architect a scalable, sexy, high-functioning supply chain that fuels growth, crushes costs, and makes our customers feel amazing about what's in their hands.
What You'll Do:
Build from scratch: Architect our entire supply chain function – operations, planning, logistics, sourcing, packaging – the whole enchilada.Own planning: Forecast demand, manage inventory, and make sure we never stock out or overstock.Source smartly: Identify, vet, and negotiate with suppliers and manufacturing partners who share our obsession with quality and speed.Package perfection: Lead innovation in packaging that's sustainable, beautiful, and brand-right.Ship it: Oversee logistics and 3PL relationships to ensure smooth delivery, every time.Collaborate like a boss: Work cross-functionally with ops, marketing, product, and finance. Everyone's rowing in the same direction – you'll help set the course.Scale with intention: Build systems, processes, and a team that can handle 10x growth without breaking a sweat.Solve in real time: Be the person people call when “oh sh*t” moments happen – and fix them with style. You Are:
A supply chain generalist with 7–10 years in ops, planning, sourcing, logistics, and packaging – ideally in CPG or wellness/health-focused startups.A startup vet or someone who thrives in a scrappy, fast-moving, high-accountability environment.Obsessed with continuous improvement. You're the kind of person who walks into a room and sees five ways to make things more efficient.Data-driven, with serious chops in Excel/Sheets and forecasting tools.Collaborative, coachable, and down-to-earth. You're as happy rolling up your sleeves in the warehouse as you are presenting to the board.Comfortable being uncomfortable. You know that ambiguity just means opportunity.Bonus Points:
