Based in a corporate or district office, the Supplier Quality Surveillance Inspector supports Procurement in the implementation and execution of procurement quality inspections and audits. The Supplier Quality Surveillance Inspector's primary responsibility is to perform QA/QC shop inspections and audits to ensure critical materials and engineered equipment purchased meet or exceed our customer's and contracted quality and workmanship expectations. The Supplier Quality Surveillance Inspector may also assist in ensuring the subcontracts or corporate agreements for goods and services meet Kiewit Procurement quality standards and customer's expectations. This position will require up to 85% travel - must have the ability to travel outside of the US.
This position can be based out of our Lenexa, KS or Houston, TX location.

Highly skilled and experienced in written and verbal communications to include leading pre-fabrication meetings, creating pre-fabrication checklists, writing inspection reports.
Preferred experience with oil and gas specifications, inspections and testing.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) and Kiewit systems.
A four-year engineering, science or technical college or university degree plus two years of Supplier quality experience, an Associate degree in engineering technology or science plus at least four years of Supplier Quality experience, or six years of relevant experience.
AMPP/NACE Coating Inspector certification and/or AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification preferred, or the ability to obtain within 3 months of start of employment.
Must have a broad working knowledge of all design/craft disciplines and plant equipment/materials associated with Energy, Industrial and Infrastructure projects and must be familiar with their associated special processes, inspection, and testing techniques.
Familiarity with industrial procurement and vendor surveillance procedures as well as working knowledge of construction industry Codes and Standards related to the manufacture and testing of mechanical components/systems.
