Supplier Quality Engineer - Manpower Group : Job Details

Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicles, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be part of the quality assurance department supporting the production and supply chain teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Onsite in Tuscaloosa, AL (20% domestic travel required)

Pay Range: $60-62/h + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Collaborate with Vehicle Systems Engineering to assess the manufacturability of new product designs.

• Conduct detailed supplier process assessments and audits to select appropriate suppliers.

• Lead the Supplier Industrialization Roadmap, conducting product and process development activities.

• Manage and continuously improve the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process with suppliers.

• Analyze and report incoming supplier part quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree.

• 4-6 years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing in relevant industries.

• Experience with core process control tools such as Process Flow Diagrams and SPC.

• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and inspection techniques.

• Strong knowledge of conducting Supplier assessments and product launch experience.

• Working knowledge of Quality and Automotive systems such as ISO 9000 and IATF 16949.
