Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Aerial Delivery Flight.

Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.

Represents the Aerial Delivery Flight and the Logistics Readiness Squadron with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

Directs the air operations section that is responsible for aerial delivery, air freight, fleet service, passenger service and aircrew training equipment support for the installation.

Plans and directs all air cargo and passenger traffic movement on military aircraft for the installation.

U.S. Citizenship Required

A security clearance may be required

If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations

Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft

Work may occasionally require duty in different flights within the organization

This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968

An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507

Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations

Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions, Logistics Management Series 0346.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems.

OR EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

• Knowledge of a wide range of federal and agency logistics concepts, principles, practices, procedures, and regulations applicable to a full range of logistics management to include cargo and passenger movement, materiel management, equipment and vehicles management, vehicle maintenance, warehousing, deployment planning and operations, personal property movement, global fuels and cryogenics, and logistic plans to perform day-to-day operations
• Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors
• Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
