Job Description

The Quality Control Supervisor position supports product teams and supervises inspection and calibration functions. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of quality control functions including cross-functional support to assure availability of materials to support production activities and meet customer delivery expectations. This position reports to the Senior Supply Chain & Logistics Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees and coordinates quality control activities and assures conforming product is processed timely meeting delivery expectations.
• Actively participate in IPTs and FMEAs.
• Supports our customer quality audits and participate in internal quality audits.
• Participates in new product development and failure investigations.
• Use Lean Manufacturing tools to improve quality and reduce defects.
• Provide effective RCCA as required.
• Interface and communicate effectively with a variety of personnel in support of production including operators, quality engineers, inspectors, shop floor supervisors, program managers, project engineers and design engineers.
• Interface with suppliers and customers concerning program quality requirements.
• Provides leadership and direction to inspection and calibration personnel
• Oversees and coordinates activities to balance workload and achieve SQDC performance targets.
• Oversee and coordinate inspection requirements in support of in-house machining.

Requirements:

• The successful candidate has a BS/MS in science or engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering or equivalent experience and5+ years of experience in quality inspection.

• Interfacing with customers and suppliers concerning product quality.
• Working knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems.
• Must have production floor experience, including a solid understanding of GD&T.
• Must have experience in root cause/corrective and preventative action and the ability to lead project teams and customers through the analysis.
• Must have machined parts inspection background.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite software.
• Significant experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement and strong problem-solving skills.
• CMM Programming & troubleshooting skills a plus
• 5+ years of experience with PCDMIS preferred

Compensation:

Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
