We're looking for someone to join our team as a Payroll Supervisor who: Under the direction of the Associate Director of Human Resources, the Payroll Supervisor is responsible for managing the payroll department, including overseeing all payroll tasks such as the bi-weekly processing of payroll, managing the workflow and training of payroll staff, and performing duties necessary to ensure accurate accounting of all payroll processes. This role is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and compliant payroll processing. The Payroll Supervisor will ensure adherence to applicable federal and state and local regulations and support the payroll systems maintenance. The payroll supervisors plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of employee compensation and supports internal and external audits. Essential Functions: 1. Manages the workflow of Payroll Staff. 2. May assist to design, document and implement standard processes for the payroll department. 3. Responsible for training payroll staff to process payroll per CSV policies and procedures. 4. Oversee the bi-weekly processing of payroll to ensure accurate reporting and processing. 5. Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records as required and assigned. 6. Remain up to date on changes to State and federal payroll laws, as applicable. 7. Manages various complex issues, including, but not limited to, various levels of garnishments, IRS concerns, reporting requirements, etc. 8. Reconciliation of quarterly and year end reports including W-2s. 9. Oversee the processing of manual checks, as needed. 10. Verifies and submits electronic data to outside payroll agencies. 11. Managed and maintains accurate employee payroll files. 12. Prepares bi-weekly retirement plan reports and annual census files. 13. Participate and lead in all corporate and program audits. 14. Help to enhance and maintain payroll software. 15. Manages schedules, including time off requests, of Payroll staff. 16. Approves bi-weekly timecards for Payroll staff. 17. Perform employee reviews, competency forms, and provide constructive feedback on their performance to help meet organizational and professional goals. 18. Supervise day-to-day operations of payroll staff including workflow management, scheduling, and task delegation. 19. Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with CSV policy and applicable laws. You'll be successful with the following qualifications: 1. AA in Accounting, Business Administration or Fundamentals of Payroll Certification. 2. Must be 18 years of age. 3. Five to seven years' experience processing payroll. 4. Knowledge of multi state and federal payroll and tax regulations. 5. Ability to organize, compile and analyze data. 6. Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines. 7. Knowledge of and experience in Microsoft Office Programs. 8. Ability to use office equipment. 9. Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Programs.
