We are seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join our team. This role is ideal for a licensed clinician in California who is passionate about supporting a diverse team of therapists, advancing clinical excellence, and making a tangible impact in the community—all while working 100% remotely.
Position Summary
The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and clinical oversight to a team of therapists. This position ensures quality client care, compliance with California laws and regulations, and fosters a culture of growth and collaboration within the clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of therapists, to ensure high standards of care and professional development.
- Facilitate regular virtual team meetings, case consultations, and training sessions with a focus on trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices.
- Ensure compliance with California mental health laws, HIPAA, CMIA, Mandated Reporting, Board of Psychology regulations, and nonprofit organizational standards.
- Develop and implement quality assurance initiatives (e.g., clinical audits, outcome evaluations, and improvement plans).
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new clinical staff.
- Provide consultation on complex cases and respond to crisis situations as needed.
- Collaborate with community partners, advocacy groups, and participate in virtual outreach events to advance Protégé's mission.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
- Active California license as a Psychologist, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT (required).
- Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
- Completion of California Board-approved supervision training:
- 15 hours initial (if supervising for the first time).
- 6 hours every 2 years (ongoing requirement).
- Knowledge of community resources, particularly for individuals without legal status
- Knowledge of California mental health laws, ethical guidelines, HIPAA, CMIA, Mandated Reporting, and Board of Psychology rules.
- Ability to work well independently and to lead a team.
- Demonstrated experience with trauma-informed care and culturally responsive practices.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check, including screening for any history of child or sexual abuse, is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Previous experience supervising pre-licensed or foreign-trained clinicians.
- Familiarity with telehealth delivery models and community mental health settings.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and analyzing clinical data for program improvement.
