The Bronx District Attorney's Office is seeking well-qualified staff whose diverse backgrounds reflect an ability to serve the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community and pursue a safer Bronx through fair justice. The Domestic Violence Bureau (DV), within the Special Victims Division is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as a Supervising Assistant District Attorney. A supervising Assistant District Attorney will assist in overseeing the Bureau's Legal and Professional staff, will be responsible for supervising the investigation and prosecution of DV cases, the expansion of pre-arrest investigation and enhancement, review and implementation of best practices, development of in-Bureau training, coordinating second-seat hearing and trial assignments, second seating and overall management of the Bureau.
Job Responsibilities: Specific duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Qualifications: Juris Doctorate required. US Citizenship and New York State Residency are required as of the first day of employment. Member in good standing of the NY State Bar. You must provide an original current certificate of good standing. At least 5 years of Prosecutorial experience required. Supervisory and/or management experience preferred. Investigations and prosecutions are strongly preferred. Expertise and knowledge in Domestic Violence investigations and prosecutions strongly preferred. Ability to conduct competent, resourceful investigations Ability to exercise good judgment and strong ethics Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of information. Ability to analytically solve issues or problems from inception through conclusion. Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment and handle a high volume of cases and investigations. Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
