McPherson County Schools has a vacancy for the position of Superintendent of Schools. The school is located in the community of Tryon, 30 miles northwest of North Platte in the Sandhills. The district mission is Small town values, Big time opportunities! McPherson County Schools houses under 100 students in grades K-12. Due to the small size, staff members are extremely aware of students' skills, needs, interests, and accomplishments. Elementary courses are ability grouped. High School Courses include all traditional academic and CTE courses with an emphasis on agriculture and welding. High school students have the opportunity to participate in all traditional extracurricular activities. Involvement and support from the community is strong.
