About Our ClientOur client is a second-generation, family-owned General Contractor with over 60 years of experience in the Baltimore Metro area. Renowned for their work in educational construction (K-12 and higher education), they've also expanded into senior living, non-profit, office, and multifamily sectors. With a healthy backlog stretching into 2026, they're growing their team and actively hiring an Assistant Superintendent to help lead a $65M K-12 project in Baltimore.Job Description
  • Leading daily on-site operations to ensure the project stays on schedule and meets safety, quality, and productivity standards
  • Managing and coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to maintain workflow and timely material deliveries
  • Enforcing all safety protocols through regular site inspections and compliance with OSHA and company policies
  • Monitoring construction progress and providing detailed daily reports to project management
  • Supervising and directing field personnel to ensure efficient execution of work and alignment with project goals
  • Collaborating with the Project Manager to proactively address field challenges and implement solutions
  • Overseeing project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and punch list completion
  • Maintaining quality control by ensuring all work adheres to contract documents, plans, and specifications
  • Leading project meetings and serving as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors
  • Ensuring the job site remains safe, clean, and organized throughout all stages of construction

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, ideally including prior site supervision or assistant superintendent responsibilities
  • Solid knowledge of construction practices, safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards
  • Proficiency in construction management tools such as Procore, Buildertrend, or PlanGrid, along with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to accurately interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
