About the Opportunity
We're seeking a seasoned Superintendent of Construction to join the team behind the Midtown Port Authority Bus Terminal Redevelopmenta multi-year, high-profile infrastructure project that will reshape the future of urban mobility in New York City.
In this leadership role, you'll oversee on-site construction operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all phases of the build. You'll coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with design and contract requirementsall while working alongside a collaborative team of engineers, project managers, and field professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to schedule and budget.
- Plan and coordinate daily operations, including subcontractor scheduling and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Optimize use of materials, labor, and equipment for maximum efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance on construction methods and drawing interpretation.
- Assist in developing project schedules and site logistics plans.
- Support and enforce the Site Specific Safety Plan.
- Coordinate with on-site owner representatives and stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience on large-scale heavy civil infrastructure projects ($100M+).
- Proven track record as a superintendent or craft supervisor on complex builds involving piles, concrete, and structural steel.
- Familiarity with City, State, and Federal Government clients.
- Strong knowledge of contract management and local trades/unions.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, and HCSS Heavy Bid.
- OSHA and First Aid certifications.
- Experience in bridge, roadway, or major civil infrastructure construction.
- Strong subcontractor management and communication skills.
