General Construction Superintendent

Highland Consulting Group is working with a General Contractor in the Harrisburg area that has a need for an experienced Superintendent. Successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent working on commercial ground up projects of $10 million+. This is a permanent position with projects in a commutable distance requiring no overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and delegates tasks with other site project team members and Project Manager.
• Work with the Safety Manager to create a safe work site.
• Coordinate everyday tasks involved in the construction process.
• Schedule crews and subcontractors.
• Arrange for material and equipment to be on site as needed.
• Work with the foremen to coordinate the daily production plan.
• Oversee quality control.
• Daily reporting of all work completed.
• Provide technical expertise and coaching to resolve production issues and verify the execution of corrective actions.
• Work to keep the project on schedule, meet the specifications, keep the project safe, and meet the expectations of the Project Manager
• Interface with the owner on all projects assigned.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on projects larger than $10 Million.
• Mix of ground up and fit out commercial project experience. Background with public works projects is a strong plus.
• Solid Communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and superintendent success a must.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check and drug screen.
