Summer Journey Overview:

We anticipate programming throughout all NYC boroughs, though most positions concentrated in the Bronx, Staten Island, and Manhattan. There also may be opportunities in Long Island. We are committed to thoughtfully matching staff with their grade and location preference to the best of our ability

Role Overview:

The Operations Specialist (OS) will provide operational leadership for the Summer Journey program. The OS will oversee administrative duties, manage the operations of the program, and directly interface with parents of enrolled students.

How you'll be there for students:

Be their advocate, difference maker, and mentor.

Operational Leadership

* Attend all required professional development modules prior to program start date and throughout program (for compensation at hourly rate)

* Support in the completion of onboarding requirements for cohort staff

* Establish a positive professional rapport with Summer Journey program staff, parents, and ONPS personnel

* Uphold all administrative compliance guidelines

* Manage all material (curricular and operational) and maintain open communication with SLE Operations Area Manager to ensure all ongoing needs are met

* Regularly collaborate and meet with Academic Specialist weekly to share programmatic information

* Plan and host weekly cohort meetings with the Academic Specialist

* Support Academic Specialist in ensuring instructional excellence

* Work alongside the management team to keep open communication and report operational issues and concerns

Oversee Administrative Duties and Manage the Operations of the Program

* Communicate with teachers, parents, and students regarding program implementation

* Ensure daily and weekly compliance deadlines are met, including student and staff attendance

* Ensure all required information is input into online databases

* Provide technology troubleshooting to staff, students, and parents

* Support payroll processing for assigned cohort of staff

* Ability to fulfill and abide by all necessary requirements for employment

* Ability to legally work in the United States

* Availability to work for the full program
