We are currently looking for a Full Time Success Coach to join our Chokka Kilimpi Success Coach A team located at the Southeastern Oklahoma State University working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.*Summary:*Responsible for retention of Chickasaw students in colleges and universities. Program includes social, cultural and campus events, academic support and career development opportunities. Responsible for overseeing Apela schedules, daily tasks and professional conduct. The success coach will perform other related duties as required by the recruitment and retention manager and the director of Chokka' Kilimpi'.*Responsibilities:** Uphold and enhance the dignity and image of the Chickasaw Nation through positive public conduct as a representative of the Chickasaw Nation* Supports the Chickasaw Nation's missions and goals, while fostering trust and respect* Creates a space to preserve Chickasaw history and incorporate it into programming* Ensures facility is maintained to Chickasaw Nation standards* Responsibly use the Chickasaw Nation's resources* Establishes and provides information to Chickasaw students on education services and other items related to higher education* Identifies Chickasaw students and enrolls them into the recruitment and retention program* Adherence to policies and procedures* Implements, and monitors programming to meet the demands of student engagement* Guides and builds connections to institutional, cultural and career resources* Assists student to effectively navigate campus* Coordinates a wide variety of necessary activities (e.g., transportation, scheduling of facilities, venues, purchasing equipment and supplies, and confirming instructor, if applicable, placing meal orders/catering.) to ensure all recruitment and retention programs and services are provided in a safe, efficient, and effective manner* Communicates hours of operation to students and appropriate campus personnel as needed* Develops effective communication with line of support for campus or program needs* Demonstrates teamwork with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. faculty, staff, colleges and university systems, community members, etc.)* Compiles data for submission to monitor recruitment and retention program components and submits weekly and monthly reports to manager* Document and report program activities, accomplishments and outcomes of institutional meetings as required* Participates in other continuing education opportunities* Identifies academic problems and offers effective solutions, intervening as necessary* Creates, update and report any changes of the institutional circle-of-support directory* Works various hours, such as nights and weekends; coordinates and participates in the pre-and post-setup of the facility for events and/or collaborations/partnerships for the program* Works with management to identify any key institutional departments and organizations to collaborate with* Cultivates relationships with institutional departments and leadership to build a strong circle-of-support on campus* Manages confidential documents, keeping records and being responsible for maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive personnel correspondence and conversations* Utilizes web-based and organizational resources to create engaging and correctly formatted written, visual and digital content for recruitment and retention programming* Reviews Apela applications* Schedules, conducts interviews for Apela positions* Selects Apela, corresponds with human resources department for hiring of Apela* Works with Apela to establish work schedules. Provide clear expectations to follow the schedule* Develops professional skills necessary for Apela to be successful in the workplace* Sets a good example for the Apela* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types* Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner* Greets and engages with a smile* Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types* Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment* Maintains and promotes professionalism* Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics* Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.* Performs all other duties as assigned*Competencies:*Essential:* Able to follow instructions, both written and oral* Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements* Ability to work independently* Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability* Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines* Ability to multitask* Establishes professional working relationships as appropriate* Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management*Skills:*Essential:* Basic Computer skills* Must be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of products*Experience:*Essential:* 1 year directly related experience*Education:*Nonessential:* Bachelors Degree in directly related field*Credentials:*Essential:* CN Core Leadership Level 1* Must be 21 years of age or older*Working Conditions:*Essential:* Pass pre-employment drug testNonessential:* Works in an office setting* May work evening shift* May work weekend shift* Sometimes bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach* Sometimes lift and or carry up to 50 lbs* Visual acuity for detail, distance, color, depth perception#INDWork Location: In person
