Substitute School Nurse - Salina Unified School District : Job Details

Salina Public Schools is currently accepting applications for Substitute School Nurses to serve on an as-needed basis across district school buildings. This position plays a critical role in promoting the health and well-being of students and staff by providing professional nursing services during the absence of the regular school nurse. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to students and staff in response to illness, injury, and medical needs. Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders and district policy. Monitor and care for students with chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies. Maintain accurate and confidential student health records. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student health concerns. Support the implementation of individual healthcare plans and emergency care plans.
