Through amazing programs, caring staff, and a safe atmosphere, we give youth a place to go when they need support, care and most importantly, fun. We give youth a place to call home.BGCLC is looking for a passionate, fun-loving, energetic individual to help foster a fun, safe, and positive summer experience for school aged youth in the Larimer County area. This individual will travel to our different Club locations to substitute or assist as a Youth Development Specialist (YDS) when the location is in need of an additional staff member. (This person will not be assigned to a regular location) This person will assist in implementing and leading a variety of fun and memorable summer programs such as academic enrichment, recreation, technology, sports, and the arts to our Club members.This is a non-exempt, part-time position with a pay of $18/hour.Requirements:Responsibilities & Duties include (but are not limited to) :* Travel to a different location on a daily basis to assist when a location needs additional staff.* Ensure the physical, social, and emotional safety of all Club members (our youth)* Provide guidance and acting as a role model for all Club members.* Lead a wide variety of activities and programs in the areas of: academics, sports, technology, the arts, and character development.* Embody the core values of BGCLC on a daily basis.* Inspiring FUN* Building SUPPORTIVE relationships* RECOGNIZING youth* Delivering OPPORTUNITIES & upholding HIGH EXPECTATIONS* Always upholding SAFETYRequirements:* Must be at least 18 years of age.* High School Diploma or equivalent* Must have a strong, sincere interest in working with youth ages 6 - 18.* Must have a valid driver license and be able to travel to different locations throughout Loveland, Fort Collins, and Wellington.Experience* 460 experience hours working with groups of four or more youth ages 5-12.Specialized Skills* Bilingual Spanish speaking is preferred.* CPR and First Aid Certifications.* Candidates must be able to pass a background check and reference checks.What we offer:* An opportunity to help positively shape the next generation of leaders* A supportive team* Personal and professional growth opportunities* An engaging and fun work environment* Paid Sick TimeBoys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County is an Equal Opportunity EmployerPhysical Demands and Work Environment: (The phrases occasionally , regularly , and frequently correspond to the following definitions: occasionally means up to ? of working time, regularly means between ? and ? of working time, and frequently means ? and more of working time.)* The work environment is the typical youth mentorship or after school environment and/ or office environment.
