Substance Abuse Counselor - Phoenix House of the Mid-Atlantic : Job Details

National Capital Treatment & Recovery, formerly Phoenix House in Arlington, VA is hiring a full-time Counselor to work with adults with substance use disorders. This position is responsible for splitting time in the jails (Arlington County Detention Facility and Alexandria Detention Center) and our Assessments Department. This is a full-time, salaried position with full benefits. - A 60 credit Master's Degree is REQUIRED and the ability to become a Resident in Counselor or Supervisee in Social Work upon hire - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:ASSESSMENTS:Screen and assess individuals for eligibility pre- and/or post-release. Collaborate with OARA to ensure eligible participants are enrolled in Medicaid and/or covered by local jurisdiction funding. Develop individualized treatment plans for each participant.
