What You'll Be Doing

We are seeking a seasoned Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support mission-critical programs for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). This role ensures that assigned project-based initiatives align with contract requirements, meet deadlines, stay within scope, and deliver measurable value. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in program/project management, stakeholder engagement, and product ownership in a federal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee program execution to ensure alignment with contract terms, timelines, budgets, and specifications.
  • Proactively identify and address potential delivery delays, recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate regular communication with clients and internal stakeholders to confirm schedules, resolve issues, and share progress updates.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and government clients, ensuring clear understanding of business requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Liaisons to translate high-level business needs into actionable features and prioritize the Program Backlog accordingly.
  • Act as the content authority for Program Backlog management, prioritization, and scope adjustments.
  • Conduct ongoing discovery to understand user needs and inform program vision, roadmaps, and decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver concise, data-driven status briefings to leadership (weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Lead stakeholder meetings and respond to inquiries with clarity and accuracy.
  • Research and stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends to guide product direction.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and transparency across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Identify and escalate project risks or blockers in a timely manner.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, IT, Management, etc.).
  • PMP certification required.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, including:
    • 5+ years in roles such as Project Manager, Product Manager, Product Owner, or Senior Business Analyst.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills, with experience briefing large stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Experience collaborating with remote teams across multiple time zones using platforms like MS Teams, WebEx, or similar tools.
  • Prior experience working with TSA and an existing Public Trust clearance is highly preferred.

Other Requirement(s):This position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain agovernmentpublic trust level security clearance.

**This work is in support of our TSA customer and the work is contingent on customer review and approval.

This is position is hybrid and based out of Arlington, VA
