ASpecial Education Student Transport Specialistis responsible for transporting students safely and on time from their pickup point to school and back. This includes performing pre-trip inspections, ensuring child safety, and maintaining compliance with DOT regulations.
Qualifications
Three (3) years of driving experience with no breaks/gaps and no more than 1 moving violation in that time period.
Candidates cannot have any DUI/DWI on their driving record.
Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical.
A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.
Must be at least 23 years of age.
Valid Drivers License.
Key Responsibilities:
Training $18/00
Safely transport students to and from school and activities
Arrive at destinations on schedule
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
Conduct child checks after each route
Use navigation tools to plan efficient routes
Maintain a clean, fueled, and well-maintained vehicle
Keep accurate mileage and maintenance records
Interact with students, parents, and staff in a professional manner
Perform other duties as assigned
