- A professional with strong communication skills, both written and oral, who has the ability to work with students, staff and parents in an elementary school setting
- Strong technology skills preferred
- Previous experience working with children

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned
- Assist with building management, including but not limited to:

- Arrival and dismissal
- Monitoring attendance and tardiness of students
- Safety drills
- Scheduling noon aides and crossing guards
- Assist with school activities, including but not limited to:
-
- Safety Patrol
- Parent groups and events
- Evening events
- Partnerships with outside groups (food drives, assemblies, fundraising, etc.)
- Works closely with building principal
- Provides assistance with student discipline
- Assists with student medical needs
- Supports teachers regarding student issues
- Identifies issues and works with teams to resolve concerns
- Coordinates implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports
- Develops behavior plans for student success in coordination with staff and parents
- Attends student support staffing's
- Coordinates with school at-risk personnel and social workers
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Noon aides, Crossing Guards EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree required Elementary Teaching Certificate required Strong computer skills with experience with spreadsheets, databases and word-processing Knowledge of general office procedures, phone, filing, copy machines 4 years related experience Experience working with at-risk and diverse student populations Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, staff members and parents Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multitask environment LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of people. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
