Job Summary

This position serves as the first point of contact for student, visitor, and family inquires in visiting the Student Solution Center, via phone, email or virtual platforms ensuring a welcoming and professional experience. The position provides general information and cross-functional support for Student Services on campus. Student Services include Financial Aid, Bursar Registrar, Admissions, Academic Advising, Technology Services, and the Testing Center.

Responsibilities

1 -Provide accurate, basic guidance on Financial Aid, Bursar, Registrar, and Admissions processes as well as general advising and technology services basic information via phone, email, and in person.2 -Serve as cahier by taking varying forms of payment and accounting for funds.3 -Identify and resolve routine issues, escalate complex cases to functional specialists or directors as needed.4 -Maintain knowledge of institutional policies, procedures, and deadlines across all supported departments.5 -Cross train to serve as support staff/test proctors for the Testing Center.6 -Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) or ticketing systems to log and track student interactions and ensure timely resolution.7 -Assist students with information to help with completing forms, applications, and other enrollment related documents.8 -Support campus outreach efforts to educate students on the services and resources by the Student Solution Center.9 -Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements-Associates degree or direct equivalent experience in higher education, business, customer service or related field.Other Required Qualifications-Must successfully pass a credit checkRequired Experience-More than one year of experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience- One or more years of experience in customer service/call center positions.- One or more years of experience in a higher education environment.- One or more years of experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.- One or more years of experience using BANNER or other student information system.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.KNOWLEDGE-Knowledge of admission, financial aid, registration, and student account requirements.-Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.-Knowledge of multi-line phone system operation.-Knowledge of cashiering principles.-Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs (i.e. BANNER and Microsoft Office Suite).SKILLS-Skill in decision making and problem solving.-Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.-Skill in oral and written communication.
