This position is located off-campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK.Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook pizzas according to specific recipes and customer requests- Monitor food stock levels and replenish ingredients as needed- Ensure that all food preparation and cooking areas are clean and sanitized- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations- Assist with menu planning and development- Help with meal preparation for catering events, as neededSkills:- Proven experience as a pizza cook or in a similar role within the food industry (Favorable but not required)- Knowledge of pizza dough stretching techniques and pizza oven operation (Favorable but not required)- Proficient in using kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, and ovens (Favorable but not required)- Understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures (Favorable but not required)- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of ordersNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
