Job Summary The Student Office Assistant oversees the day-to-day administrative operations of the Office of the Provost
Job Description Typical duties include but not limited to: - Files paperwork, makes copies, and compiles documents.
- Provides administrative support to include maintaining schedules/calendars, screening telephone communication, greeting and directing visitors, and dealing with administrative problems and inquiries.
- Perform administrative and logistics tasks with the Office of the Provost.
- Support faculty and staff within the Office of the Provost for delegated work in Workday.
- Establishes and maintains systems for administrative records for the department, including electronic files, records, and databases.
- Composes and prepares written documents and correspondence for the office, including memos, letters, presentations, and spreadsheets.
Other duties: - Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description Required Qualifications: - Enrolled as a degree-seeking student at Florida Gulf Coast University at the time of hire and throughout the appointment.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be in good conduct standing with the University.
- Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with classroom technology and setup like projectors, webcams, and amplified sound.
- Relevant administrative support experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: - Knowledge of general office procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects when numerous demands are involved.
- Ability to operate personal computers with proficiency and learn new applications and systems.
- Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, and reports.
- Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
