Posting Number 20161633STD Job Description Job Details for Engagement Ambassadors (hiring up to 20 individuals) • Engagement Ambassadors participate through digital and traditional phone outreach to alumni, parents and friends of Ohio University leveraging an engagement platform that allows for personalized outreach to every constituent that inspires life-long engagement. • Ambassadors successfully text, video and phone prospective donors on behalf of Ohio University to engage constituents and advance its mission. • For each phone call, Ambassadors work to raise monetary support, fostering a positive and long-lasting relationship with alumni, parents and friends as well as update demographic information. • Ambassadors follow scripting provided by their Engagement Center Manager while sharing their own positive personal experience at Ohio University and applying a pre-determined dollar amount ladder and strategy for each phone call including supporting reasons to give. Compensation • Starting pay rate is $11.50/ hour. • Incentives awarded periodically. Minimum Qualifications To be eligible for employment, applicant must be an Ohio University student. Preferred Qualifications • Must be a well-organized self-starter who can manage time effectively and possesses excellent spoken and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and within a team environment. • Skilled to follow scripting and ask amount requirements when making outbound calls, text or videos. • Be able to use a computer for accurate data entry. • Ability to maintain confidentially of information.
