Student writing tutors hired from all majors on an as-needed basis. Principal Responsibilities Tutoring writers one-on-one and in group settings, offering feedback to promote writing development Office work, including answering phones, responding to [email protected] emails, greeting clients, and scheduling appointments as needed Participate in a tiered training curriculum designed to help you become an engaged and effective writing tutor Give writing center presentations to classes and organizations Required Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to quickly and accurately analyze assignment sheets and writing samples Ability to offer useful feedback that helps students improve their writing and learn in the process Professionalism and ability to foster a productive environment for learning Minimum Qualifications: Must be enrolled as an ONU student Good academic standing Must have earned an A or B in Writing Seminar or equivalent course Must be able to work 5 o...Tutor, Student, Education
