Student Disability Services Specialist - The City University of New York : Job Details

The Accessibility Resource Center at Hostos Community College provides students with disabilities with support services to ensure academic and personal success. The successful candidate will report directly to the Accessibility Resource Center Director. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Assists with directing the day-to-day operations of the Accessibility Services, including accommodation services (note takers, readers, scribes, interpreters, adaptive technology labs, proctoring, and business functions). Coordinates reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities in accordance with ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAAA) such as note takers, readers, scribes, sign language interpreters, and other services as needed.
