Salary: $18.81 Hourly Location : Auraria Campus, CO Job Type: Part-Time Job Number: 2020-00430 Division: CCD Work-Study Opening Date: 07/17/2025 Closing Date: 10/3/2025 5:00 PM Mountain Position Type: Work-Study Purpose/Summary The Office of Student Conduct & Support is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented work study who is passionate about serving students, educating the community, and helping others in need. The Office of Student Conduct & Support helps students succeed by fostering a respectful, inclusive, and supportive campus community. We guide students, faculty, and staff in understanding CCD's policies and procedures. We respond to concerns about students who may be facing personal challenges or in need of extra support. As the first point of contact, the Office Assistant plays a key role in welcoming visitors, administrative tasks, customer service, and managing conflicts. Duties and Responsibilities The Office of Student Conduct & Support helps students succeed by fostering a respectful, inclusive, and supportive campus community. We guide students, faculty, and staff in understanding CCD's policies and procedures. We respond to concerns about students who may be facing personal challenges or in need of extra support. As the first point of contact, the Office Assistant plays a key role in welcoming visitors, administrative tasks, customer service, and managing conflicts. Qualifications The ideal student in this position will be supportive and confidential when handling all matters of Care and Conduct cases from the initial contact in the office; passionate about helping other students succeed by providing compassion and offering resources for those in need; should be able to work well with others and take initiative in handling new projects or tasks; professional; strong communication skills; able to maneuver across campus; able to lift 25-30 pounds. The student will become a professional in CCD's Code of Conduct & the expectations for students and will be able to effectively communicate the policies & procedures to the campus community. They will learn public speaking skills and creativity. The student will learn crisis intervention skills & be able to handle difficult situations by supporting students of all backgrounds and life situations. They will learn to be more culturally inclusive & how to manage concerns from diverse communities. Arts, Communication, & Design Public, Safety, & Legal Services Social & Behavioral Sciences Education & Teaching This position will be great for students who have long-term career goals of serving the public and helping to support others. Students in other pathways would also benefit in this position as they will learn invaluable skills in communication, ethics, crisis management, and compassion that can transfer to any future positions.
