Job Summary:
This position is based in Syracuse, NY and is seeking candidates within commutable distance. The Information Management & Technology (IMT) division is seeking a dedicated student assistant to join our Campus Web Technology team. The intern will be responsible for addressing written content needs within our clinical departments at SUNY Upstate Medical University. This position will collaborate with the current content editor to update and restructure clinical department content, and ensure that content is patient-focused, highlighting the benefits of seeking care at SUNY Upstate. Candidates will be asked to write content at an 8th-grade reading level and align written content with SEO goals in collaboration with the Content Editor. Students are limited to working 29 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a matriculated undergraduate or graduate college student.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong writing skills with the ability to write at an 8th-grade level. Understanding of SEO principles. Experience with content management systems. Ability to work both collaboratively and independently. Strong interest in working within a healthcare setting is preferred.
