Student Assistant Specialist - Narwhal Fitness Instructor - The New School : Job Details

MISSION: The Narwhal Fitness Room is located downstairs on floor L2 of the University Center. In this space, SLI hosts Yoga, Dance Fitness, Choreography, Self-Defense, or Pilates classes in addition to personal training. Students may also meet for group runs or group bike rides in this space.

Yoga, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Tai Chi, Self-Defense, Running, Personal Training (or any other fitness area).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* All Fitness instructors must complete New School fitness orientation, including training in services at the SLI office, Fitness room, Kerrey Hall gym, and Bike room.

* All fitness instructors must have a newschool.edu email address, complete NarwhalNation training, and take responsibility for creating and managing NarwhalNation pages for all of their fitness classes, including attendance tracking.

* Fitness instructors should ensure that current health and safety policies set by the University are being followed.

* Respond to tasks in a timely manner; help troubleshoot difficult situations.

* Promote student safety and adherence to University procedures.

* Serve as a positive leader and representative of the New School.

Hourly Range: $15.00 - $21.00
