George Fox University's Student Accounts department is searching for a reliable and inquisitive Student Accounts Transition Specialist who takes great pride in providing a positive student experience.
About the Job:
The role of the Student Accounts Transition Specialist is a highly rewarding and challenging one. It requires a self motivated and driven individual who enjoys managing their tasks and workload without being closely directed. The position includes authority and decision making, compliance, policy recommendations, and relationship building. A student leaving due to financial challenges is heartbreaking and this position largely focuses on finding a pathway forward for a student to continue their degree, whether at GFU or elsewhere. The Student Accounts Transition Specialist is tasked with building relationships and living out the Be Known Promise to a unique subset of our student population.

A day in the life of this position:
The day-to-day activities for this position ebb and flow with the academic semesters, commencement, and recruiting cycles. The start of each semester is also the end of the prior one, and these months are the busy season for the whole office and certainly for this position. Most days require time spent on financial appeals, analyzing data and accounts, communicating, responding to inquiries, documentation, research, proactively intervening, policy enforcement and operational tasks.
