Base pay range

$80.00/hr - $100.00/hr

Structured Cabling Engineer / Structured Cabling / Onsite / New York City

Our client is one of the largest banks nationwide and is looking to bring in a Structured Cabling Engineer with Project Management experience. You'll be working with General Contractor and technology installation vendors to ensure installation meets performance, cost, schedule, and warranty requirements. Based out of NYC, they are looking to hire this individual on a multi-year contract.

Contract Duration: 12+ Months (potential to extend)

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience gutting and redesigning large corporate buildings
• Skilled in conducting and documenting site walks, issuing detailed field observation reports, and escalating non-compliance issues appropriately
• Proficient in reviewing RFI responses and telecom design documents, providing actionable feedback through PDF markups, log trackers, and structured commentary

What You Will Be Doing

• Microsoft Office Suite
• BICSI/TIA/GTI and other structured cabling standards

Daily Responsibilities

• Ensure telecom infrastructure installation aligns with BICSE/TIA/local codes and GTI structured cabling standards
• Able to review Telecommunication, MEP, Security, AV and other design documents and issue comments (via PDF markups, log tracker)
• Attend coordination and status meetings between Architectural, MEP, AV, Security, Smart Building (IoT), WiFi, DAS, Auxiliary Radio Communications (ARCs), 2WAY Radio, Vertical Transport, furniture vendor etc.
