JOB SUMMARY:
Serves as the primary point of contact for customers for orders once they are handed off from sales. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining shop production targets, maximizing profitability for each order, and being consistent with our corporate mission, values and department objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for about 40 projects totaling about 20,000 tons.
- Attend morning production meetings.
- Be a mentor and resource for PM team members' questions. Help others to come up with alternative solutions to issues through experience.
- Understand production capacities of the plant(s) and select appropriate fabrication and delivery slots for sizeable projects to not overload/underutilize the shop.
- Visualize erection sequence, connection fit up and site constraints from customer interactions.
- Identify potential job specific limitations of the shop or understand the extra time it may take to produce the project.
- Initiate and lead Kick off meetings when needed and ensure that follow-ups are completed.
- Read, effectively communicate, and answer questions about joist and deck erection plans / calculations.
- Determine if there will be a need for subcontracting (galvanization, bending, rolling.) Establish and communicate a timeline needed for extra prep.
- Identify and select the optimum subcontractor by price, location, and overall expense.
- Coordinate every aspect of the project: Ensure that the project meets all specifications, shop drawings, material, fabrication schedule and deliveries.
- Understand and execute progress billing needs for both CSC and our customers. Work closely with sales and accounting to establish and manage a schedule of values, in accordance with AIA guidelines.
- Provide timely direction for field issues to avoid or minimize back charges.
- Negotiate change orders and back charges with our customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Anticipated Pay Range
$70,000 - $100,000

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. The range may vary by location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Career Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school and 5 years' experience in the structural industry is required. Or 10 years' steel fabrication background in the structural industry in lieu of degree.
- Extensive background in steel fabrication is required.
- Effective manage time skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to handle difficult conversations.
- Must be able to schedule events, programs, and activities.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to analyze information, evaluate results to choose the best solution.
- Able to work independently and with a team.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, willingness to lead, take charge, offer suggestions and direction.
- Working knowledge using Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and D365.
- Ability to travel trainings, jobsite visits, and conventions. (10%-20% travel)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequent communication with others to exchange information.
- Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Occasional adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
- Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- General office environment.
- May require occasional exposure to production areas with airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold. Personal protection equipment is required when entering a manufacturing plant.
