Job Location : Minneapolis,MN, USA
This isn't your typical design desk job. As a Structural Engineer with a focus on forensics and restoration, you'll dig deep into the causes of building failures, whether it's a collapsed roof, cracked foundation, or fire-damaged structure. You'll play detective and designer, uncovering what went wrong and crafting smart, practical solutions to make things right again.
Who You Are :
You're a problem-solver at heart : curious, analytical, and driven to understand not just what happened, but why . You're a licensed Professional Engineer in Minnesota (or an EIT on your way to becoming a P.E.) with a background in structural or civil engineering. Maybe you've already been involved in forensic investigations or restoration work, or maybe you've just realized that this is the kind of hands-on, high-impact work you were meant to do – even if you have no previous experience . You communicate clearly, and you're comfortable collaborating with architects, attorneys, contractors, and clients alike.
What You Bring :
Why This Job Matters :
You won't just be preventing future failures, you'll be helping restore buildings of significance. Whether it's a historic structure, a commercial facility, or a home, your work will contribute to making the built environment safer, stronger, and more resilient.
