In the role of Structural Engineer, we'll count on you to:

  • Review structural documents for conflicts with all disciplines
  • Write and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and their sizes, and complete necessary calculations
  • Coordinate the work of the structural design team through the design development and contract document phases
  • Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance
  • Conduct design development and contract work sessions at project sites with the Project Manager and other disciplines
  • Manage workload to complete documents on schedule during design and construction phases
  • Coordinate with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, change proposals, and change orders, incorporating changes into project documents
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Experience with hydroelectric projects, dams/levees, hydraulic structures, heavy civil, or power and industrial projects; water resource facilities experience is a plus
  • Cross-disciplinary experience with structural and geotechnical projects, such as dam assessments, retaining wall design, post-tensioned anchorage, seismic analysis, etc.
  • Local candidates preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • PE license
  • Previous structural engineering experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, STAAD, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar tools
  • Experience with architectural/engineering or consulting firms
